As the winter chill sets in, Islamabad’s educational institutions prepare for their much-anticipated annual winter break. This year, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has officially announced a two-week closure for all schools and colleges. Islamabad and Punjab schools will take a two-week winter break from December 28, 2024, to January 12, 2025. Classes will resume on January 13, 2025. The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has also adjusted school timings to help students and staff manage the colder weather:
- Single-Shift Schools: 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM (Monday-Thursday), 12:30 PM on Fridays.
- Double-Shift Schools: Morning: 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Evening: 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM (adjusted for Fridays).
